Contribution flow
The contribution flow is where money comes into Open Collective, which makes it probably the most important flow we have on the platform. In 2024 I took it up again as a full overhaul, because its layout and steps had never been updated and some contributors still described giving to a project as hard to do, and this is the proposal I designed, every step on a single page with the charge always beside it.

Open Collective doesn't store credit card numbers, instead relying on our payment processor, Stripe, a secure solution that is widely adopted. If our systems are compromised, your credit card information is not at risk, because we simply don't store it.
